Course Overview:

How important are songs in the life of Israel and the church? This course explores the book of Psalms and their function within the historical experience of Israel.  The 150 poems in this ancient anthology represent a range of human voices that include songs of lament, pilgrimage, wisdom, praise and thanksgiving. They speak of God’s work and God’s relationship with humankind. Its sentiments and passions are our own.

Courses costs: $3000 which includes full board at Ecce Homo Pilgrimhouse (Jerusalem) and any other places visited with stay over. No additional costs.

Typical agenda: 40 hrs lectures / presentations / lecture room work. 40 hrs field study / excursions.

Lecturers: Our lecturers are chosen for their recognition as leading authorities in the subject of (PSALMS). Typically they will have written and published papers, books,study articles and will be working within institutions of (learning). English will be the primary language of the course.
