Dr. Callie Callon 

Callie Callon is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Theology at the University of St. Michael’s College., Toronto, Canada. She received her PhD in the field of Christian Origins from the University of Toronto.  Her research specializes on idealizations and performances of gender and embodiment in antiquity. Her repertoire of courses includes: The Gospel of Matthew; The Parables of Jesus; The Life and Letters of St. Paul; Feminist Interpretations of the Bible.  She recently introduced the course, ‘Women and Christianity’, which will explore “what Pope John Paul II, among others, called the ‘feminine tradition’ in Christian life and thought.”
